Default how do i do it. (terraway / uwsc)

Hello,

Since a long time I've been trying terraway. I used to do the uwsc before all the dhuumn stuff nerfing, I really liked it till a certain point when I stopped playing guildwars for 6 months. After those 6 months I stopped doing it and focussed on other stuff.

Now I'm doing play all stuff I'd thought on going back to the uwsc, but since it was nerfed and stuff I needed to learn some new stuff. It came clear that some stuff changed, I learned everything what I could learn: glitching mindblades, glitching skelletels etc. The problem I'm having right now is that everyone is asking for ghastly stones which I ofcourse do not have.

I don't have any ghastly stones and I do want to play Terraway, the only option I have is "practice" runs. I did a lot of those which did learn me to do my area's but all the parties fail 99/100 times which means you'll waste a lot of money + personal consumables(for outrunning skeles"). I have never gained any ghastly stones from finishing UW and buying them is a waste of money as you see that 1 stone is like 4k.

I am asking, How do I get in a decent Terraway party, without wasting a lot of money or leaving my guild?

I so far wastes around 50k on these newb parties and I don't feel wasting the rest of my money.

PS: And no FoWsc or DoAsc isn't what I'm searching since I've done that enough.

Buy atleast 50+ stones and join runs, there are many 50+ groups that are created most of the time. If you cannot afford to buy stones, just do fowsc until you get plenty of obsi shards to sell/trade for stones

Or you can always start a group and check for stones, most of the people who join your group don't check your stones when you create a party. Just make sure to have cons on you atleast or ask if someone has it after full group

I know you said you don't want to leave your guild and all, but I found joining a UWSC guild was the easiest way for me to get into runs because they are more likely to take you along. Otherwise, like an1sh mentioned...start the group yourself.

Joining an uwsc guild is probably your best option allot of those guilds have training sessions and practice runs.

Yeah, that's a real pain :/ since I really like my guild and stuff. I think I'd rather go farm a lot of Shards in FoW and waste that money on stones than leaving my guild.

Thanks for the help guys, but still the stones method is such bullshit.

Unfortunately...for pug's the stupid stones have consumed groups. I was lucky in that I had stones from balancedway b4 I started to attempt tway.

I would definately not join a uwsc guild.....simply not worth leaving a guild you have spent a lot of time with, made friends in, and enjoyed to join one for a one area specific guild.

Its unfortunate that your practice groups have failed a lot. I must have been fortunate as I have only had 2-3 out of maybe 20 practice groups fail. Now I have around a stack of stones and tbh the most successful groups seem to hover around the 70-80 stone mark. If I had to guess at y this is.....I would have to say that once groups get much higher there tends to be a lot of ppl that want to try and run true duos of true solos.....and they fail a lot.

So aside from all of the above....you can start your own groups....Most ppl that start groups only check stones...and don't actually show them themselves....(I have asked several 200+ group party leaders to show their stones when they ask to seen mine....ony to get promptly kicked)..my guess there is they dont have the amount themselves.

Most pugs suck, no matter how many stones they have, there are a few good Tway guilds and that is pretty much the only way to reliably get into good groups. Good players form guilds with other good players so they don't have to play with pugs, if you aren't willing to find a guild then you are likely to find speedclears pretty infuriating.

Funny how you say you've done enough DoASC but spending 50k is a lot to you. Assuming SC = DwG is false.

Either buy yourself ~150 stones (450-600k) or find yourself a good guild, there really isn't a better option. Guilds that specialize in UWSC often also do FoWSC, and some of them also do DoASC. Random dungeons etc might also be done, so you'll have enough to do.

true duos are false. The slower people who do duos call them true duos

Best way is to start your own group imo. Just make sure youre up to snuff in your area (watching videos, clearing lab and practicing your area, which is easy with 7 heroes :P )
